"For the world does not need our activism. It needs our witness." Very convicting. That's why social justice without the Gospel message doesn't change hearts.
My church actually had a split because of this. We do many mission trips, but half the church wanted to build houses and buildings in Africa, but without sharing the gospel. The other (remaining now) half stood their ground that the gospel and bringing them to Christ takes precedent and we shouldn’t do things because it’s for OUR goodness. That it’s better to come with nothing but the Word, than with everything and nothing.
So the church was left with 30 people. A great pruning occurred and the church has flourished again! Around 100 people in a tiny building (families) all Spirit led and unafraid of the Gospel! Great things come when you carry your cross. Blessings come to those who are faithful and follow Christs commandments ♥️

Our exodus in this life is not primarily from vice to virtue, it is more an exodus from virtue to the grace of God in Christ alone.
