Words Matter

The world calls it the West Bank—a sterile, political label coined in 1950 when Jordan illegally occupied the land and tried to erase its Jewish identity.

But the Bible never once calls it that. From Genesis to Revelation, God Himself calls this land Judea and Samaria—the beating heart of Israel.

• Abraham walked there.

• David reigned there.

• Our Lord ministered there.

When we use the world’s terms, we play by the world’s script. When we use God’s terms, we proclaim His truth.

Why This Matters

Calling it Judea and Samaria isn’t about politics—it’s about theology.

God gave this land to Israel by everlasting covenant (Genesis 12:7; 17:7–8). No UN resolution, no worldly rebranding, no human government can rewrite the Word of God.

Every time we say West Bank, we echo man. Every time we say Judea and Samaria, we echo God.

Christian rebels don’t borrow the world’s vocabulary. We speak heaven’s language—even when it offends earthly ears.
