Rise and Reflect: A Place for You
(A Devotional on John 14:1-3)
Good morning, friend! Welcome to Rise and Reflect with Candlefish Ministries. Let’s quiet our hearts with Jesus’ words in John 14:1-3: “Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also” (NKJV).
Life can trouble us—worries, losses, or fears—but Jesus says, “Don’t stay there.” He’s preparing a home for you in heaven, and He’s coming back to take you there! This isn’t just a promise for later; it’s peace for now. The Rapture (1 Thess. 4:17) means any day, Jesus could call us to Himself. That hope steadies us. So, when anxiety hits, pray, “Lord, You’ve got a place for me.” If someone you love doesn’t know Him, share the gospel: Jesus died for their sins, rose again, and offers eternal life (Rom. 10:9). Invite them to trust Him today! Let’s live with eternity in view, loving others as He loves us.
Prayer: Jesus, thank You for preparing my place and coming again. Calm my heart and help me share Your gospel today. Amen.
Your Step Today: Tell someone, “Jesus loves you and has a place for you!” Share His hope.
