The Coming Wedding Supper
đ Rise and Reflect: The Coming Wedding Supper (Revelation 19:7â9)
The Bridal Diamond â radiant joy for the feast of the Lamb
Good morning, friend! As you begin your day, anticipate this royal summons straight from heavenâs throne:
âThe marriage of the Lamb has come, and His wife has made herself ready⊠Blessed are those who are called to the marriage supper of the Lamb!â (Revelation 19:7â9, NKJV).
The immense joy of this scene is breathtaking. After the Rapture, while the earth endures judgment and trial, the Bride of Christâthe Churchâwill rejoice in a magnificent heavenly feast with her Bridegroom. This is not a mere allegory, but a real and radiant celebration, capturing the divine love and eternal union between Christ and His beloved.
Historically, Jewish weddings included several phases: a betrothal contract sealed with a dowry representing commitment; a bridal procession symbolizing the bridegroomâs coming to claim his bride; and finally, the wedding feastâa joyous, communal celebration often lasting days. Revelationâs vision portrays this final feast, the consummation of the Bride and Bridegroomâs union in glory.
This sacred event calls us to live today in bridal purity and readiness, echoing the command: âEvery believer who has this hope purifies himself, just as He is pureâ (1 John 3:3). Refuse the worldâs distractions and sins that dull your wedding robe. Instead, clothe yourself in righteousness and holiness, waiting expectantly.
Extend this eternal invitation to others weary or lost: âWash in Christâs bloodâHe longs to seat you at His tableâ (Revelation 22:17). The marriage supperâs gates are open, yet only those who belong to the Bride enter into this eternal joy.
This feast is not only about celebration but also the victorious conclusion of Godâs redemptive storyâa triumph over sin, death, and every enemy. As the great multitude proclaims âHallelujah! For the Lord our God Almighty reigns,â so we join in anticipation of that perfect day.
Prayer:
Lord, keep me a ready Bride, pure and eager for Your coming. Stir in me a heart burdened for the unprepared, that many may join the joy at Your wedding feast. Amen.
Your Step Today:
Before your next meal, whisper âRevelation 19:7â as a sacred reminder of the feast to come and the Brideâs radiant joy.
