Rise and Reflect: Saved by Grace
(A Devotional on Ephesians 2:8-9)
Good morning, friend! Welcome to Rise and Reflect with Candlefish Ministries. Let’s anchor our Tuesday in a truth that changes everything. Ephesians 2:8-9 says, “For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast” (NKJV).
What a relief! Salvation isn’t about earning God’s favor—it’s a gift, wrapped in the love of Jesus, who died for our sins and rose again (1 Cor. 15:3-4). In a world pushing “do more, be more,” God says, “Trust Me, I’ve done it all.” That’s grace! It frees us from striving and fills us with gratitude. Knowing Christ could return any moment (Titus 2:13), this truth keeps us focused: we’re saved not by works, but for good works (Eph. 2:10).
So today, rest in His grace. If guilt creeps in, remember: Jesus paid it all. If someone’s trying to add rules to salvation, gently point them to this verse. And if you know someone far from God, share this gift—tell them, “Jesus offers salvation free; just trust Him!” (John 3:16).
Prayer: Lord Jesus, thank You for saving me by grace. Help me live in gratitude, share Your gift, and stay ready for Your return. Amen.
Your Step Today: Thank God for one specific way His grace has changed you, and share that story with someone today.
