Same Old Hatred in a New Wrapper
Same Old Hatred in a New Wrapper
Candlefish Ministries John 1:5
Friend, the more I watch antisemitism flare up online and in the headlines, the less “new” it looks.
Old books like The International Jew creeping back into circulation. Mein Kampf selling again. Quotes from long-dead clergy condemning “the Jew” passed around as if they’re prophetic insight. Different wrappers, same ancient poison—rooted in the enemy’s ongoing hatred of God’s covenant people.
Recent reports just confirm what we already feel: antisemitic incidents have surged, especially in the West—on campuses, in the streets, and all over the internet. It’s not bold truth-telling; it’s spiritual darkness dressed up as discernment.
Let’s be crystal clear: this kind of hatred has no place in a heart that loves Jesus.
Our salvation story is inescapably Jewish, cover to cover:
A Jewish Messiah—from the tribe of Judah, the line of David, the promised Seed of Abraham (Matthew 1:1–17; Galatians 3:16).
Jewish apostles first carrying the gospel to the nations (Acts 1:8).
Jewish Scriptures—covenants and prophecies Jesus fulfilled (Luke 24:44–45).
Jewish promises God calls irrevocable:
“Concerning the gospel they are enemies for your sake, but concerning the election they are beloved for the sake of the fathers. For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable.”
— Romans 11:28–29 (NKJV)
Romans 9–11 is a direct answer to our moment. Israel stumbled, but not beyond recovery (Romans 11:11). A partial hardening rests on them until the fullness of the Gentiles comes in, “and so all Israel will be saved” (Romans 11:25–26). The natural branches will be grafted back in (Romans 11:23–24). God’s unconditional promises to Abraham’s physical descendants—the land, the nation, the kingdom—still stand (Genesis 12:1–3; 15:18; 17:7–8; Psalm 105:8–11).
He will fulfill them literally in the Millennial Kingdom—Christ reigning from David’s throne in Jerusalem, Israel restored as head of the nations (Isaiah 11:1–9; Zechariah 14:9, 16–19; Luke 1:32–33; Revelation 20:4–6).
Any voice—pastor, priest, podcaster, professor—that claims to preach Christ while scorning the Jewish people is out of step with the God of the Bible. They’re not defending orthodoxy; they’re opposing the God who said, “I will bless those who bless you, and I will curse him who curses you” (Genesis 12:3).
No nation is perfect—Israel included. But God’s faithfulness isn’t anchored in national performance; it’s anchored in His word.
So I’m not backing off:
Yes, I’m an unapologetic Christian Zionist.
Yes, I believe the Jewish people have a God-given, ancestral right to the land of Israel.
Yes, I believe antisemitism in any form—secular, religious, “anti-Zionist,” or academic—is sin.
Stand with the Jewish people—not because they never fail, but because God never does.
Stand with the Word—reading prophecy literally where it intends literal, keeping Israel and the Church distinct.
Stand with the Jewish Messiah, Jesus Christ—Yeshua HaMashiach—the only name under heaven by which we must be saved, Jew or Gentile (Acts 4:12; Romans 10:12).
Love them enough to pray for the peace of Jerusalem (Psalm 122:6), to bless them in practical ways, and to share the gospel clearly—that many might turn to their true Messiah before that great day (Romans 11:23–26; 2 Corinthians 3:14–16).
If you’ve never trusted that Jewish Messiah—Jesus, the promised Seed who blesses all nations (Genesis 22:18; Galatians 3:16)—hear His invitation today. Salvation isn’t earned by “taking the right side” or racking up good works; it’s God’s free gift:
“For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.”
— Ephesians 2:8–9 (NKJV)
Confess your need, believe He died for your sins and rose again, and receive forgiveness, new birth, and eternal security—sealed by the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 1:13–14; John 10:28–29).
Old things pass away; behold, all things become new (2 Corinthians 5:17).
Then abide in Him daily (John 15:4–5), walk in the Spirit (Galatians 5:16), love without compromise, and live expectantly—our Blessed Hope, the imminent pre-trib Rapture, draws near (Titus 2:13; 1 Thessalonians 4:16–17).
Maranatha. Even so, come quickly, Lord Jesus.

And as King Solomon said, there is nothing new under the sun. Both sad and fascinating to watch Satan rear his ugly head over and over in the very same way.
Once again, this is so appreciated!!
