Cancer has a way of waking us up. My own story is not so dramatic but he took away my terror (psalm 91) and left me seeking him in new ways. I loved your phrase - scripture felt more like a voice than a book.” I found his Presence walking beside me and never want to be without his presence

“Faith is not denial; it is defiance.” That line captures the heart of this testimony—faith doesn’t ignore the storm; it stares it down and still believes God reigns over it. This story reminds us that when surrender replaces fear, even an incision can testify to resurrection power. Thank you for sharing

How beautifully described and wonderfully written. Thank you for sharing. What a wonderful testimony. It reminded me of Isaiah 57. I do believe He takes some home, who may have suffered enough, and were so very tired, so that they may rest from their labors. "The righteous perisheth, and no man layeth it to heart; and merciful men are taken away, none considering that the righteous is taken away from the evil to come. (2) He shall enter into peace; they shall rest in their beds, each one walking in his uprightness. When my Father was suffering, not able to eat any more due to cancer of the esophagus, I prayed that night with many tears, not for healing, but that God would take him, to spare him more suffering and pain...and he died peacefully hours later...and as hard as it was to lose him, I thanked the Lord for ending his suffering. The cancer diagnosis had caused him to seek the Lord, or he might not have...so we never know why things happen to some, but God does. Another scripture I just read is "the enemy meant it for evil, but God used it for good." (close, by memory, I'd have to find the scripture). So I put my Father in God's hands, saying, Thy will be done, and he took him home.
