We are going to need more Millstones.

I personally know of a situation like this except it was an offense to an adult lady. It was covered up. Something happened and months later the main pastor called her and apologized and said the lady was right. Someone else was the other pastor’s victim. Later he went to teach at a Christian college, then went on to work at the department of human services. They usually put themselves where their next victims are vulnerable. So sad. You are so right on.

The satanic garbage you described is one reason why I left the Catholic Church. I can’t speak for other churches. But I do know that the Catholic Church has done absolutely nothing of substance to hold clerical predators accountable.

This is one of many reasons why I believe that a holy, righteous. God is judging the Catholic Church. By and large, that August body has sacrificed its patrimony on the altar of wealth, power, political influence, secular prestige, intellectual fashion, and institutional arrogance, as well as sexual perversion.

Of course, the Catholic Church isn’t the only Church that has sacrificed its patrimony in that fashion. But it continues to call itself the “one true church” that teaches “the fullness of the gospel” in doing so. For that, it has earned special judgment by a holy, righteous God.

I agree, Robert - and say furthermore, that any church that covers-up any form of abuse, be it sexual, psychological, or pseudo-spiritual - on children or adults who are in any way vulnerable, (elderly, learning-impaired/limited, neuro-divergent, etc.,) has violated their covenant with God and mankind; they have forfeited their right to be called a “church”. The Apostle Paul puts it clearly in Romans 1:

“The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of men who suppress the truth by their wickedness.” (Ch.1 v. 18, and through to v. 32).

Such actions and behaviours are not only despicable - they are outright idolatry!

I wish I could say this isn’t a matter that I think is prevalent in

the church, but as a Believer I sadly have been impacted by such evil and I know to many who can say the same. I know of multiple churches within less than an hour of each other who hid such situations and even threatened the ones who were abused in the churches. It isn’t simply members of the church, it goes much higher than that in many churches of varied denominations. However, the evil hearts of people will never be that which causes my trust in God to fail. Evil hides waiting on its prey, and then God is the one through the trauma to make a way.
