I really appreciated how you showed Jesus’ baptism not as repentance but as identification — the sinless One willingly stepping into the place of sinners from the very beginning of His ministry. It highlights the humility of Christ and the beauty of obedience that flows from grace rather than striving. The Jordan truly does feel like the opening movement of the cross, where Jesus begins publicly carrying the mission He came to fulfill for us. I often write about faith, belonging, and finding God in everyday life — you’re warmly invited to read along here: https://theeternalnowmm.substack.com/p/eternal-love?r=71z4jh

Thank you for a full and well articulated explanation of the baptism of our Lord and Savior.

Thank you for this! I always wondered why He was baptized and you’ve clarified the truth— that it was to stand where we would. Love your writing

Baptism is a serious thing. It is a separation from the old life to a new life. For Christ, from his life as a carpenter to his consecration of carrying out His Father’s Will. The seriousness is seen in the flood where the world was baptized to ready of separating a people into God. The crossing of the Red Sea where the people are separated and consecrated unto God.

So serious that those who were not prepared perished.
