I once visited a beautiful cathedral in Europe. It had an immense spire reaching to the sky. On top? Mary.
Hard to reconcile with Christian teachings. It was like looking at an old temple of the Romans. They can say they do not worship Mary or the Saints, but we need to be careful. Even in other denominations we need to consider what is being lifted up.

I have even heard Catholics call Mary “co-redemptrix.” To his credit Leo did warn against that but got a lot of pushback.
